About Shannon

Shannon Oliver fell in love with the performing arts at a young age. She had her first taste of the stage in sixth grade and continued with theatre though out high school. She started hosting back in 1993 as an anchor for Plano Portfolio; a cable access TV show for the City of Plano.

After graduating from Texas A&M University and obtaining her degree in Finance, she pursued a career in the financial industry. Years of working with stocks and bonds were a great experience, but Shannon ultimately went back to her arts background. Shannon now spends her days auditioning, acting, going to class, and chasing after her six year old Weimaraner, Avery. She is still hosting Plano Wired, formally Plano Portfolio, on PTN 30 and has been a featured guest on such shows as Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View and E! Entertainment. Shannon has been a part of many local independent films and you also might have caught a glimpse of her in commercials for Anheuser Busch, Nascar, Albertson's, and Dove Shampoo and Conditioner.
